Niccolo Casas:

L'architetto e professore italiano Niccolo Casas è responsabile e Founder di "Niccolo Casas Architecture", professore invitato presso la RISD Rhode Island School of Design e un dottorando presso The Bartlett UCL di Londra. Dirige uno studio multidisciplinare per la ricerca e l'architettura che mira a combinare diversi campi di specializzazione in modo da offrire una visione innovativa e unica della disciplina accademica e della professione. Il lavoro di Casas spazia dall'architettura all'alta moda e alla tecnologia della moda, dal design alla visualizzazione dei dati e alla medicina. Ha collaborato, tra gli altri, con la stilista Iris Van Herpen, la stilista fashion-tech Anouk Wipprecht, la compagnia di intrattenimento Cirque du Soleil , le società automobilistiche Volkswagen e BMW, le multinazionali di software ed elettronica Intel e Autodesk, le società di stampa 3D Materialise e 3D Systems, il team di ricerca del MIT EmbrLabs e la società sportiva Sequoia. Ha anche partecipato alla National Academy Keck Futures Initiative (NAKFI) dove, come co-investigatore, ha ricevuto 150.000 dollari come premio per progetti interdisciplinari tra scienza, arte, ingegneria e medicina. Italian architect and professor Niccolo Casas is Principal and Founder at Niccolo Casas Architecture, a visiting faculty member at RISD Rhode Island School of Design, and a PhD candidate at The Bartlett UCL London. He runs a multidisciplinary practice for research and architecture that aims to combine several fields of specialisations so as to offer an innovative and unique vision of the academic discipline and profession.Casas’s work spans from architecture to couture and fashion-tech, and from design to data visualisation and medicine.He has collaborated with—among others— the fashion designer Iris Van Herpen, the fashion-tech designer Anouk Wipprecht, the entertainment company Cirque du Soleil, the automotive companies Volkswagen and BMW, the multinational software and electronic corporations Intel and Autodesk, the 3D-printing companies Materialise and 3D Systems, the MIT research team EmbrLabs and the sport firm Sequoia.
